The Parma Heights Police Department is working hard every day to keep our community safe. To continue this mission, we are looking to add an additional K9 officer.
A second dog is necessary due to several factors, one of which is a heavy caseload of crimes requiring the special abilities provided by a K9. Additionally, this will allow the department to have a dog on the day shift, when our city’s population is doubled.
Your donation will provide for the training of a nationally certified dual-purpose dog that will help officers locate drugs/narcotics, search buildings, track and apprehend criminals, locate lost or endangered citizens, protect officers, and play an important role in building community relations, such as educational programs at schools.
The Parma Heights Police Department believes in transparency for individuals submitting donations. Your generosity will fund:
- The purchase and training of a dual-purpose Police K9
- K9 Handler Course and Certification
- Necessary Equipment for the K9
- Vehicle Insert for Transportation of the K9
