On behalf of the Leander Law Enforcement Association, we are asking for help from our family at Leander Police Department, our surrounding public safety agencies, and our Leander, Liberty Hill, Williamson County, and surrounding communities.
Our own Jinger Fuller has been diagnosed with stage 3C cancer. Jinger has diligently served her community as a police officer with the Leander Police Department for over 15 years. She recently underwent an aggressive and invasive surgery but experienced further complications that will result in her going through chemotherapy and radiation. Jinger is 37 years old and the mother of a 9 year old. To say this diagnosis was unexpected wouldn’t even begin to describe this unfathomable development.
Over the last several months, Jinger has had to navigate these developments on her own. Receiving this type of news from your doctors, having more questions than answers, and trying to plan for a future that is full of unknowns would drain the best of us. This is where I am coming to you all asking for help. For anyone that knows Jinger well, you would know how independent she is, how strong-willed she is, how stubborn she is, how tough she is, and how passionate she is. However, battles like these are not meant to be fought alone. Jinger is our family. While there are a lot of things we collectively cannot change, I believe we can come together and support her financially. With everything going on, financial hardship should not be yet another cause for stress and uncertainty for her.
With angst and fervor, I ask that you consider what you can do to help one of our own when she needs it most.
